The Ness M1 is both a Security and Automation controller. Control security, automation, access, lighting, HVAC, CCTV, entertainment, and other electrical devices.

User interfaces include keypads, touch screens, software for PCs and PDAs, telephones, wireless key fobs, or proximity fobs/cards. Pleasing voice announces system status, allows for telephone remote control, and alerts you while you are away with a phone call to advise critical temperature levels, water leaks, children arriving home from school, etc.

System can be controlled over the internet & alert the user with emails. M1 provides complete control and provides alerts on what you want to know (on site or remotely). The M1 is truly the ‘next generation’ panel that is available today! This 101-201 is the M1 Module only. Please refer to NESS products 101-205S and 101-205L for panel kits.

The Ness-M1, together with the Ness-RP Automation Programming software offers powerful, easy to set up and manage, lifestyle enhancement features. The automation programming allows mixing and matching of lighting components, outputs (relays or voltage), thermostats, temperature sensors, and all the security inputs and features to integrate functions that add value and appeal to the owner/user/manager.
Whenever/And/Then rules can be set to turn on and off in response to a time of day, a certain sensor, or the arm/ disarm status of the system. Outputs can be set to control door strikes, irrigation sprinklers, circulating pumps, valves, outdoor signage, refrigeration etc. Automation tasks can also be driven by the built-in astronomic clock which calculates sunset/sunrise depending on your geographic location and also takes daylight savings into account.

M1 can be expanded up to 208 inputs using up to 12 add-on Input Expanders. Each input can be programmed to be Normally Open, Normally Closed, End Of Line, High Security 4 State End Of Line or Analogue to suit a huge variety of detection and sensing devices such as motion sensors, mechanical contacts, fluid level sensors, gas sensors, smoke detectors, temperature sensors and many more.
Up to 12 Input Expanders, each with 16 zones can be added anywhere along the 4 wire data bus. The high-end security features include multiple user codes, multiple area operation and multiple arming levels such as Away, Stay, Stay Instant, Night, Night Instant, Holiday mode and other combinations. The onboard telephone dialler is capable of reporting alarm events to a central monitoring station and/or several private telephone numbers such as mobile phones.

Up to four M1 systems can be networked and interface with the Ness IDTeck suite of powerful access control systems. The range includes everything from a standalone single-door controller to networked systems up to 10,000+ doors. There are many integrated security and access control features available such as denying access to a user if an M1 security area is armed and the user does not have security system disarm rights, regardless of the user’s access control time schedule and access level. Once the area is disarmed, the user with the right access level will now be granted access. The powerful and user-friendly Ness Starwatch application software suites provide total solutions for access control and security management tool, time attendance, site management, lift control and centralised user management. The standard Ness Starwatch software includes user management of both access control credentials as well as M1 security codes. It includes alarm graphics for quick identification of alarm points, access doors and security areas control both for alarm event identification as well as user control of these points. It also includes a comprehensive report generation of access control and security management events from IDTeck controllers and Ness M1 systems.
