Why we do what we do
Tiger Security Limited was born out of a desire to provide customers with quality security solutions that are delivered on time and within budget. Alongside this goal we wanted to offer a no fuss get it done right the first-time solution.
Mike Dreaneen, the co-founder, has spent 35 plus years in the security industry and could see that the no fuss goal was what customers wanted.
Tiger Security’s primary market sector is the construction industry. We have successfully implemented no fuss solutions across a wide range of projects. Some include schools, council service centres, retail, vehicle dealerships, residential developments and more.
Tiger Security Limited is a family-owned company. We provide services throughout the greater Auckland area, northern Waikato, and parts of Northland.

Security alarm systems
Tiger Security has access to a wide range of security alarm brands in New Zealand. Included are Inner Range, ICT, Arrowhead, Bosch, DSC, Honeywell.
Access Control Systems
These are often integrated with security alarm functionality and include the brands mentioned above.
Intercom systems
There are many intercom brands available in New Zealand. Tiger Security prefers to offer brands that have in house support in New Zealand. Farfisa, Bticino, ABB and Aiphone are popular brands
CCTV
Tiger Security’s team is highly skilled in the provision, installation and setup of a variety of CCTV brands. Where required we provide systems that comply with the US Government NDAA standards (National Defence Authorization Act).
Alarm monitoring
Typical of many security alarm companies we offer an alarm monitoring service.
How Do We Do It?
This is perhaps one of the secrets of our success.
When Tiger Security was formed seven years ago, we surrounded ourselves with good people in the form of quality contractors and suppliers. In some instances, we had no previous experience with these folk. We have formed quality working relationships, and all still work with us seven years later. At the outset our Accountant advised us to contract all our work. Today we still have that good team of cablers, installation technicians, skilful engineers, and programmers. Many are highly certified in their chosen field.
We provide an alarm monitoring service as a bureau of Alarm Watch based in Whanganui.
Who Do We Do It For?
In the main we work for builders. Some of our builder clients just tell us to do the job and to not even quote. They know that we will provide a no fuss cost efficient solution. Project based work requires a quotation and is generally performed under the rules of the Construction Contracts Act.
Often the projects we perform for builders in schools will result in long term relationships with schools. We continue to monitor and perform service contracts for many clients.
Tiger Security also provides no fuss cost efficient security solutions direct to the end user. These end users can be factories, warehouses, schools, apartments, and residential clients.
