Tiger Security was awarded the security contract in a recent modification to the Arohanui Satellite Unit at Rutherford Primary School.
The Arohanui Satellite Unit (ASU) at Rutherford Primary school in Te Atatu is a standalone building on the school’s property which caters for special needs children.
The ASU underwent an extensive internal and external refit to bring the building up to modern standards. Our role in the project was to install new security devices and access control on a series of doors. This involved an expansion of the school’s existing security system into the ASU.
The project involved isolating the works area and replacing the existing PIR motion sensors, relocations of devices and keypad, installation of magnetic locks and access control for enhanced security. We ensured that the security system operated seamlessly without disrupting the learning environment or the works deadlines.
